On foot from main station
It takes roughly 15 minutes to walk from the station to Dampfzentrale Bern. Exit the station in the direction of Loeb department store and walk through Christoffelgasse to the Kleine Schanze park. Now either take the Marzili funicular cable car or walk down to the River Aare. Continue along Marzilistrasse and past the open-air pool; after about 400m turn left at the roundabout towards Dampfzentrale Bern.

Public transport & a short walk
Bernmobil route 9 / 19 to Sulgenau
On foot: Turn left into Eigerstrasse towards the Monbijou bridge. At the start of the Monbijou bridge, take the lift (Aldi / Bowling Center) to the ground floor. Keep left up to the roundabout before turning right at the roundabout towards Dampfzentrale Bern.
By bike
Ride from Bern station in the direction of Loeb department store through Christoffelgasse and turn right into Bundesgasse in front of the Kleine Schanze park. Get in the left-hand lane and turn left into Monbijoustrasse after the Mobiliar building at Hirschengraben. After the pedestrian lights, get in the left-hand lane and turn left into Schwarztorstrasse after the Monbijou bus stop. Continue before turning right into Sulgeneckstrasse and going straight ahead at the roundabout towards Dampfzentrale Bern.

By car
From Bern-Ostring motorway exit,
drive straight ahead towards the centre of Bern. Turn off at Thunplatz (follow the signposts for museums) and continue along Jungfraustrasse and Marienstrasse before turning right (follow the signposts for Marzili) into Schwellenmattstrasse. Cross the River Aare and take the fourth exit at the roundabout and continue along Marzilistrasse until you reach the Sulgeneck-Marzilistrasse roundabout. Take the third exit towards Dampfzentrale Bern.
From Bern-Forsthaus motorway exit,
drive straight ahead towards the centre of Bern. At the end of Murtenstrasse, just after the university hospital, turn right into Zieglerstrasse, cross Effingerstrasse and soon afterwards turn into Schwarztorstrasse. Drive straight ahead along Sulgeneckstrasse. Go straight ahead at the roundabout towards Dampfzentrale Bern.
