Trigger-Warning
Trigger warnings are often used to alert the audience to triggers that may provoke a reliving of a traumatic event. The term, which originates from psychology, encompasses very different experiences that can provoke just as different reactions.
Dampfzentrale Bern refrains from providing the stage program with trigger warnings. On the one hand, the variety of possible triggers can never be fully grasped and consequently not listed. On the other hand, it is scientifically disputed whether trigger warnings protect or even reinforce trigger effects.
Dampfzentrale, on the other hand, strives to write the texts for the program shown in such a way that visitors can assess what to expect.
